Run your car on Grass clippings. No gasoline involved.
Ok this sounds a bit far fetched running your car on yard scraps but it is 100% possible. As the grass clippings decay they form Methane a highly flammable gas. IF you put water mixed with grass clippings in a sealed container for three days you get plenty of methane gas which will be pressurized and able to be put into your car with a few minor modifications. Building the tank would likely be difficult i must say i failed with my tank because it wasn’t air tight and difficult to fill. But the grass in your yard is not the only way to get methane there are other ways that don’t involve building your own digestion tank, even though the left over water makes excellent fertilizer. Cow manure is one of the largest producers of methane and it just floats up into the air contributing to global warming we should collect this gas and use it to help lower the gas prices. Also swamps are a major producer of methane gas.
I conducted an experiment where i went to a swamp and poked a stick in the mud under the water and collected the gas that bubbled up. Then i stuck a lighter next to it and it ignited singing my hair (not the smartest experiment but it was a good proof of concept. The swamps of the world contain a very large amount of methane, methane is many times easier to obtain than gasoline and cleaner for the environment instead of adding greenhouse gases obtaining methane actually reduces greenhouse gas emissions. Even when burned it produces much less carbon dioxide which is a lot less potent than the methane was to begin with. Methane is also much easier on your engine methane will not mix with your oil meaning far less oil changes and less buildup of grime and grease on your engine.
Essentially methane is a 100% green renewable fuel source and would be far less expensive than gasoline and can easily be fed into your cars engine if you have a carburettor if you have fuel injection it is still possible but a bit more expensive. What we should do is convince the car manufactures to build vehicles that run on methane or possibly propane or both instead of gas and this will most definitely reduce gas prices by the dollar.
