Hemp…It WILL save the world.

When most people see the word hemp they think of marijuana,the drug. This is especially true with the united states government. Hemp grown fore textiles and other products contains little or no THC,the main chemical in marijuana. Hemp is a very strong fiber. The strongest natural fiber out there. Hemp can also produce ethanol easier and cheaper than corn so yes we can run our cars on cannabis. It can be used for many applications it is estimated hemp can be used for 2500 some odd applications. Henry ford grew hemp and used it in his vehicles not just as fuel but for plastic parts. George Washington and many other founding fathers grew hemp on their farms, they had to it was illegal not to. The declaration of independence was written on paper made from cannabis as was the constitution this nation was founded on the hemp plant. So what does the government do? It goes from making it illegal not to grow cannabis to making it illegal to grow,own,or possess it. Why? When so many varieties don’t even contain psychoactive drugs? Hemp has shaped the world and now its called a demon weed. It is theorized that major companies such as Dupont and the oil industry collaborated to stamp out hemp with “reefer madness” in the 50s. Using the race card saying that Negroes became crazy and deranged upon smoking this plant. This shows that not only does the government not care about the environment but that it is also racist. Hemp even for other uses is illegal to grow without a permit,something about you can hide marijuana in it…well marijuana needs more sunlight than the hemp does. Plus give me one case of someone who has died from smoking marijuana,without the reefer madness propaganda…you cant do it can you? Hemp will save the world if we gave it the chance…i do not support the use of illegal drugs but weed,is different…i still do not condone smoking it….but can you make paper, houses,food,and fuel from cocaine or meth? or any other drug for that matter. No you cant. Why has the government outlawed a plant especially the ONE plant that has shaped the world hemp was one the most used material on the face of the earth now it is considered a highly toxic drug. The government should at least release ALL restrictions on hemp grown for industrial use. Hemp could cure the need for petroleum oil. The people should know this!! And no im not just some stoner on some happy whim trying to convince people to legalize marijuana keep the THC plant illegal for all i care but free the industrial hemp it has many uses.

To all who are wondering ive never smoked marijuana and in fact have never seen a pot leaf in my life.
